18.08.2011 - City of Dundee Championships: The Craigie have three finalist's in this years City Championships. David Briggs takes on Fairfield in the Junior Singles tonight at Muirhead & Birkhill. We also have Vince Stewart taking on Fairfield and our Rink made up of Angus Cossans, Greig Mackie, Stephen Swann & Jim Davie taking on Fairfield tomorrow at Muirhead & Birkhill. 07.07.2011 - Angus Top Five: The selection committee has picked out team for the first round of this year's Top Five competition. The team is Kevin Brunton, John Wright Jnr, Ali Strachan, Stephen Swann & Vince Stewart and the reserve is Kevin Brunton Jnr. The match is away against Forfar tomorrow night. Good luck to the team for the match.

06.07.2011 - Mary Murray Mixed Triples: This year's competition was held on Sunday and was a great success. The weather was fabulous and a good day was had by all. There was a selection of excellent food served to the players and also a raffle held, all contributing to raising roughly £500 for the Macmillan Cancer charity. Bowling commenced early in the morning, continued throughout the day and by late afternoon the two teams in the final were Jean Tadden, Greig Mackie & Jim Philip against Heather Stewart, Russell Brannan & Vince Stewart. Vince's rink started the final in the best possible way, scoring 6 in the first end, but Jim's team fought back to just 7-5 down. Vince's team held firm and closed out the match to end a great day's play. Many congratulations to Heather, Russell and Vince and special mentions to everyone who helped in the kitchen and to Alistair Murray for hosting another great tournament. 05.07.2011 - Angus Championships: Unfortunately, Jim Davie and Jim Irving lost out in the final of the pairs last Friday. Commiserations to the 'twa Jeems' but well done on getting to the final. Our congratulations go out to all the winners at this year's Angus Championships.

29.06.2011 - Angus Championships: Great news to report as our last remaining competitiors, Jim Davie and Jim Irving, won their pairs semi-final against Maryfield last night. The guys won by 17-11 and now play in the final on Friday against Hillcrest at Abbey BC. Well done to the 'twa Jeems' and good luck for the final.

27.06.2011 - Angus League: Craigie's Angus League campaign finished poorly with two defeats in our final fixtures this season. The team was narrowly beaten by Brechin and Kirriemuir in these matches. These results are more difficult to take as, combined with other results, if we'd won these matches we would have been promoted back to the first division as runners-up in Division 2. Congratulations to Arbroath and Fairfield on gaining promotion and we hope for better things from Craigie next season.

27.06.2011 - Under 35 Singles: Congratulations go out to David Briggs on winning this year's under 35's title, beating Kevin Brunton Jnr 21-7 in the final on Thursday night. This is David's second win in this competition, having previously won in 2009. Commiserations to Kevin but well done on reaching his first singles final at Craigie.
