05.04.09: ABBA TRIBUTE NIGHT - Friday saw another great night at the club when 'Abba Divas' entertained a packed clubhouse. The girls put on a excellent show, singing all the Abba hits and getting everyone involved in the event. Young Bobby Clark also entertained the crowd with some great songs during the evening. 07.04.09: CHAMPIONSHIP DRAW - The draw for the 2009 Club Singles Championship has been made. To see who you are playing check the Championship draw page by going to the competition button at the side or click HERE. There are standout ties in both halves of the draw with Tony Hume vs Stephen Swann in the top half and Gary Anderson vs Alan Brown in the bottom half. Good luck to them and to everyone playing in this years Championship.

09.04.09: ANGUS LEAGUE 2009 - The fixtures have been announced for this year's Angus League. We now have our own dedicated Craigie Angus League page which you can see by clicking on the link under the mini league table on the left side of this page. Here you can see details of all our fixtures, team news and results, as well as the full league table. 13.04.09: FEES 2009 ~ REMINDER - A quick reminder from the Craigie treasurer, Alan Brown, to all members who have not yet paid their bowling fees for season 2009. Please can you make every effort to have your fees paid on or before Opening Day this coming Saturday, 18th April. Many thanks!

14.04.09: WEATHER FORECAST - No doubt, some of you may have noticed that we've added another new feature to the news page – the local weather forecast can now be found here, on the right hand side of the page. We thought this would be a useful addition to the website as we play an outdoor sport that can easily be affected by the weather. Now you should never again forget to pack those waterproofs for playing in the traditional Scottish 'summer' weather!

19.04.09: OPENING DAY 2009 - Yesterday saw the opening of the Craigie green for 2009. The usual opening ceremonies took place with Honorary President Willie McNab, President Gary Anderson and Ladies President Kath Wright taking centre stage. Then the traditional President v Vice President match took place, with the President's team running out comfortable winners in the end. A great day was had by all who took part. 21.04.09: SCOTTISH AND HUNTER CUP - The sheets for both the Scottish and Hunter Cup are up now, if you wish to be considered for selection for these competitions please put your name on the appropriate sheet. The closing date for names for these competitions is Sunday the 26th of April.

21.04.09: ANGUS LEAGUE 2009 - The sheet is up for those who wish to be considered for selection for this year's Angus League team. If you wish to be considered please put your name down. The closing date for names is Sunday the 26th of April.

21.04.09: NOMINATED PAIRS - The sheet is up for those who want to play in this years Nominated Pairs. If you want to play just put you and your partners names down. The closing date for entries is Sunday the 3rd of May.

25.04.09: DUNCAN TRIPLES - This year's Duncan Triples has now reached the semi-final stage. The matches are due to take place on Monday 27th April and both matches look to be worth a watch. John Wright's team plays Frank Moore's triple and in the other semi-final sees Stephen Swann's team play Danny Hall's triple. Good luck to all our semi-finalists.

27.04.09: DUNCAN TRIPLES - This year's Duncan Triples has reached the final stage, after two fantastic semi-finals the final this year will be contested by the teams of Moss Mackie, Ian McLauchlan and John Wright Jnr against Gordon Bruce, John Livie Snr and Stephen Swann. The final is due to take place on Tuesaday 28th April. Good luck to both teams!

27.04.09: ANGUS LEAGUE 2009 - The team sheet is up for this week's opening home game against Monifieth is up in the club. You can check on the Angus League page to see if you've been selected to play and for more information.

27.04.09: HUNTER CUP 2009 - The teams for this year's Hunter Cup have been picked. Craigie 1 is Jim Simpson, Richard MacDonald, Alan Brown and Tony Hume and the reserve for this team is Greig Mackie. They play Abbey 2 at Hillcrest on Tuesday 28th April. Craigie 2 is Jim Philip, Jack Reilly, Alistair Murray and Vince Stewart and the Reserve for this team is Archie Muir. They play Carnoustie 2 at Strathmartine on Thursday 30th April. Here's hoping both teams can go far in the competition!

27.04.09: D & D WEDNESDAY SECTION 2009 - The Ferguson Singles & the Guthrie Fours start this week. Jim Davie is playing for Craigie in the singles against Hillcrest at Barnhill on Wednsday 29th April. Craigies Fours team is Jack Shaw, George Mclaren, John McAulay & Ron Collie, they are against Maryfield at Dudhope on Wednesday 29th April. Good luck to our players in these competitions!

28.04.09: DUNCAN TRIPLES - The final of this year's Duncan Triples took place tonight with the team of Gordon Bruce, John Livie & Stephen Swann being victorious over the team of Moss Mackie, Ian McLauchlan & John Wright Jnr. Congratulations to Gordon, John & Stephen! Extra congratulations goes to John who has now won the competiton two years running. Well done! 28.04.09: HUNTER CUP 2009 - Craigie 1 got off to a good start in this years competition winning 18-7 against Abbey 2 at Hillcrest. Well done lads! There was a team change before the match as Jim Simpson couldn't play so Greig Mackie went in as lead. Craigie 1 now play Kirriemuir 1 at Lochee on Thursday 30th April.

30.04.09: D & D WEDNESDAY SECTION 2009 - The teams for both the Killacky Pairs and Millar Triples have been selected with Arthur Morton & Jim H Smith playing in the pairs against Fairfield at Dudhope on Wedensday 6th May. Our triples team are John Wright, Jim McAulay & John Live, they are playing Balgay at Barnhill on Wedensday 6th May. Good Luck to both teams! Unfortunately, both Jim Davie in the Ferguson Singles and our Guthrie Four's team lost their matches in the 1st round yesterday.

30.04.09: HUNTER CUP 2009 - Mixed fortunes in the Hunter Cup tonight. Craigie 1 continued their good start to this years competition in their 2nd round match with a hard fought 17-13 win over Kirriemuir 1 at Lochee.Well done lads! They now play Longforgan 1 at Newport in the 3rd round on Tuesday 5th May. Unfortunately Craigie 2 lost their 2nd round match 18-10 to Carnoustie 2 at Strathmartine.
