04.06.09: SCOTTISH DISTRICT 4 CHAMP'S - Mixed results in the latest round of this years Scottish Championships.Craig Stewart won his semi-final 21-13 tonight to progress to next weeks final at Montrose. Well done Craig and good luck for next week! (The club will be putting on a bus up to the finals at Montrose next week if there are enough numbers, there is a sheet up in the club for names of those who want to go) Unfortunately, our Mixed Pairs lost out in their 2nd round match this past Sunday, while our Senior Fours were beaten in the semi-finals tonight. Commiserations to both teams!

06.06.09: ANGUS LEAGUE - The team continued their fine form with another win last night against Fairfield by 46 shots to 43. This was another excellent team performance which sees Craigie remain two points clear at the top of the Division 2 table with only three matches remaining. Well done to all the players. Next Friday we play away at Broughty and, with our nearest challengers Canmore and Muirhead playing each other, a win would see us all but clinch promotion to Division 1 for the first time. Let's hope for another good result next week!

10.06.09: ANGUS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009 - The 1st round of this years Angus Championships were completed last night, with the Craigie having a good start to the competition with our Champ of Champs, Singles, Junior Singles, Pairs, Fours, Senior Singles, Senior Pairs & Senior Fours all progressing through to the 2nd round next week. Well done and good luck to everyone for their 2nd round matches!

13.06.09: ANGUS LEAGUE - Unfortunately, the team slumped to only their second defeat of this year's league campaign, losing 45-35 away at Broughty on Friday. We are now second in the table, behind Canmore on shots difference. There are still two matches to play and promotion is still in our own hands if we can win both the remaining fixtures. Good luck to the team for their next match at home to Parkview on Friday.

15.06.09: MARY MURRAY CHARITY TROPHY - This year's Mary Murray charity competition took place yesterday and was a great success. Congratulations go to winners Kenny Johnston, Ian Stirton and Liz Beattie from Muirhead BC who won in the final against Ali Strachan, Jim Irving and Alison Thomson. Around £400 was raised for MacMillan Cancer - well done to everyone who helped out and took part in another successful tournament. A feature, including photos, will be posted on the website very soon.

17.06.09: THE WEBSITE TEAM - We are very pleased to anounce that John Wright Jnr has joined our small website team. John now has full access to the website and will be helping to keep the site updated. John already has website experience from his excellent City of Dundee BA website and he joins Kenny and Greig as the third member of the Craigie website team. We look forward to many happy years together with John on the team. As Bobby says, welcome to John!

17.06.09: ANGUS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009 - The 2nd round of this years Angus Championships were completed last night. There was mixed results with our players in the Champ of Champs, Pairs, Senior Singles & Senior Pairs all losing out, but on the positive side our players in the Singles, Junior Singles, Fours & Senior Fours all won to advance to the Quarter-Finals next week. Good luck to all in their respective matches!

18.06.09: CITY OF DUNDEE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009 - The sheet is up for names of members who wish to be considered for selection for the City of Dundee Championships. The closing date for names is Sunday 2nd August.

20.06.09: ANGUS LEAGUE - The team got back to winning ways yesterday evening with a 66-37 victory against Parkview at Craigie. Although there were also wins for our main rivals at the top of the Division 2 table, this win means that victory in our final fixture against Barnhill will ensure promotion to Division 1. Well done to the team and let's hope we can acheive the required result this coming Friday.

23.06.09: ANGUS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009 - Great news from both Monday's & Tuesday's ties in the 3rd round of this years Angus Championships. All four of our representatives in the quarter-finals progressed to the semi-final stages.Well done to Vince who is competing in the Singles, Craig in the under 25 Singles & also to the guys in both the 4's and Senior 4's. The very best of luck to all in their respective semi-final matches!

26.06.09: ANGUS LEAGUE 2009 – PROMOTION! - We are very pleased to report that Craigie have, at long last, won promotion to the 1st Division of the Angus League. Tonight’s 57-43 win over Barnhill secured second place in Division 2 and we are promoted to the top division for the first time. Huge congratulations to the squad for a fantastic league campaign – every player has played their part and gelled well as a team throughout the 2009 Angus League season. We can now look forward to taking our place in the top division and playing against the Angus ‘elite’ next year. Again, congratulations and well done to the following players, who’ve represented Craigie with distinction in the Angus League this season (in alphabetical order):

27.06.09: UNDER 35'S FINAL - This year's Under 35's Final is to be played this coming Sunday (28th) at 6:30pm. Apologies for the short notice and we hope as many of you as possible can manage to get along to the club to cheer the lads on. Our 2009 finalists are David Briggs and Greig Mackie. Good luck to both lads for the final.

27.06.09: CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP – We are now down to the quarter final stage of this year’s competition. There are some intriguing matches to look forward to as the remaining eight players battle it out on the green to progress to the semi finals. Good luck to all the quarter finalists for their respective matches. The line-up is as follows:

28.06.09: UNDER 35'S FINAL - This year's Under 35's Final was played tonight and was contested by David Briggs and Greig Mackie. Congratulations go to David as he won the match 21-7 to win the Under 35's for the first time and commiserations to Greig.
