09.05.09: ANGUS LEAGUE 2009 - Craigie won their second match in this year's league last night to continue our excellent start to the league campaign this year. It was always going to be a tough fixture, playing away against Kirriemuir who were playing in the First Division last season but the team rose to the occasion and fought hard for a 44-41 win. Well done lads! We are now one of only two teams with a 100% record in Division 2 - here's hoping for another positive result next Friday at home to Letham. 'Mon the Craigie!'

The standout tie of the 2nd round has to be the father vs son battle of Vince Stewart against Craig Stewart. 18.05.09: SCOTTISH CHAMPIONSHIPS - Craigie had a mixed bag of results in last week’s opening matches. Our triple (Alex Sherman, Tony Hume & Scott Brown) won through to the second round, as did both our senior fours rinks. Sadly Ian Ringsell lost out in the Singles, as did our pairs and fours. Unfortunately, our senior fours teams have been drawn to play against each other in the next round, although on the bright side we’ll definitely have someone going through to round three! Our triples team play again this coming Thursday, as does Craig Stewart after getting a bye in the first round of the Junior Singles. Craig will be hoping to repeat last year’s excellent win in this competition and get back to Ayr. Good luck to all our bowlers for their respective matches this week.
18.05.09: ANGUS LEAGUE - All Angus League matches were postponed due to the bad weather on Friday night and our home game against Letham has been rearranged for tomorrow night, 19th May. We are still joint top of Division 2, but we've slipped down to third place on shots difference after Muirhead trounced Fairfield 52-38. Our next two matches will define our season as we play at home against both Muirhead next week and Fairfield on 5th June. There is a sheet up in the club for players wishing to participate to put their names down. As usual, the format will be six rinks, each playing on a different green.
