Friday 31st July saw the final of this year's Nominated Pairs and, once again this season, the weather wasn't too kind to the participants, being dull and drizzly for most of the match. Vince Stewart and Robert Walker got off to the best start, in what turned out to be a rather one-sided final against Scott Brown and Kenny Penman. Vince and Robert kept up the pressure and by the time Scott and Kenny recorded a shot the match was already over as a contest - the final score was 25-8. Many congratulations to Vince and Robert on their third win in this competition, thus both now enter the prestigeous Craigie 'Hall of Fame' for this event. Extra contratulations go out to Robert as it's his first entry in the Hall of Fame. Commiserations to Scott and Kenny who had a great run in this year's pairs, only to fall at the final hurdle.
